Report: Rosneft awards Urals, CPC tender to Trafigura, Total, Gunvor

MOSCOW, Mar 2 (PRIME) -- Russian state oil giant Rosneft has awarded a tender to sell Urals and CPC Blend crude oil loading in April–September to Trafigura, Total and Gunvor, Reuters reported on Monday, citing four trade sources.

Total and Gunvor shared the right to lift up to 9.0 million tonnes of Urals from Primorsk and Ust-Luga ports over the six-month period in 2020, the sources told Reuters.

The premiums offered to Rosneft’s formula price this time were slightly above the previous tender, the sources added. Glencore was the winner of Urals volumes loading from Baltic ports in the previous tender.

In Mediterranean Rosneft awarded trading firm Trafigura 840,000 tonnes to 3.36 million tonnes of Urals loading in 140,000-tonne cargoes and 480,000 tonnes to 1.92 million tonnes in 80,000-tonne cargoes from the Black Sea’s Novorossiysk.

Trafigura was the winner of 140,000-tonne Urals cargoes in the previous Rosneft tender for cargoes loading in October 2019–March 2020, while 80,000-tonne cargoes were allocated to China’s CEFC.

Since April, Rosneft also allocated its ESPO Blend crude oil it used to sell to CEFC to Trafigura.

Trafigura also won 480,000 tonnes to 1.35 million tonnes of CPC Blend for loading between April and September 2020, traders said.

Rosneft collected the bids for the tender on February 10. The results should be officially announced to participants not later than Friday, tender documents show.
